Hello Behavioral Health Committee,
Documentary filmmaker, Jenifer McShane, spent the last two years filming the SAPD Mental Health Unit. The name of the film is titled “Ernie and Joe” after SAPD Officers Ernie Stevens and Joe Smarro. The film recently premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas and was awarded the Grand Jury Award.
