Greetings Everyone;
Bexar County was recently awarded funding from the Texas Veterans Commission for a term of
July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, for $150,000 for mental health/dual diagnosis counseling services for Veterans.
We are seeking referrals to utilize this funding!
Please share with any agencies that may provide us referrals for those Veterans that have
fallen through the cracks and don’t have insurance and/or access to the VA.
This new TVC grant being handled out of the Reentry Center is geared towards Veterans that;

  • Require Mental Health/Dual Diagnosis counseling;
  • Do not have a third party payer and/or access to VA services;
  • ALL discharge statuses qualify (proof of military service will be required);
  • Bexar County resident (verification required)

Please note this grant is not for Veterans Mental Health Programs; Housing 4 Texas Heroes programs;
and/or Or Veteran Treatment Courts.
If required, Veterans can be provided assistance with accessing proof of military service as well as any
other wrap around services they may require.
Please feel free to share this information.
The Reentry Services Center website will be updated soon to reflect all criteria as well.
Thank you.
