On behalf of HHS IDD Services:
The Office of Mental Health Coordination is excited to share the link to the intellectual and development disabilities (IDD) GAP Survey. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission would like to learn more about service gaps for people with IDD in Texas. Your answers to this survey will help HHSC identify gaps, and will inform the development of the Texas Statewide IDD Strategic Plan. HHSC would like to hear from all stakeholders across Texas including, but not limited to: people who have an IDD, family & friends, advocacy organizations, private provider organizations, managed care organizations, local authorities, and state and local agencies that provide services for individuals with IDD (e.g., education, housing, criminal justice and first responders).

  • Please complete the IDD Gap survey by October 5, 2018 using this link
  • Please help HHSC get the word out by:
    • Sending the survey to your staff & colleagues
    • Sending the survey to your D-lists; and
    • Assisting people who have an IDD complete the survey.
      • There is skip logic build into the survey with questions worded in an accessible way for people who have an IDD.

There is currently a Statewide Behavioral Health Strategic Plan and your participation in this survey will help develop a Statewide IDD Strategic Plan to have a unified approach to address gaps in services for individuals with IDD in Texas.

We appreciate you taking the IDD Gap survey and for helping get the word out.
