The Role of the Family and a Mental Health Ministry in the Lives of Those Who Experience Incarceration - Mental illness affects an individual’s emotions, thoughts, and feelings. It can also impair the ability to function within the law. But Faith, coupled with mental health treatment and family support can contribute to improving an individual’s life before, during and after incarceration. Individuals with mental illness can live up to their God-given potential at home and in their own faith communities. This workshop will introduce the impact of mental illness within the family and introduce current mental health ministry’s taking an active role in addressing mental health within Bexar County faith groups.
We look forward to seeing you there!
