Homeowner Repair Assistance Program Expansion
The extension of the homeowner repair assistance program is happy to be announced by the City of San Antonio. Residents who meet the requirements can apply for low-interest loans and grants to do exterior home renovations that improve health, safety, and aesthetics. The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) is providing money to the City of San Antonio so it can extend its present Homeowner Repair Assistance Program. The program's extension will offer more resources, including money and technical support, to help more houses be more aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sustainable, as well as to fix or remove hazards to people's health and safety. The new funding source enables an increase in the maximum income ceiling from $84,150 to $151,500 for residents who make up to 140% of the area median income.
