In 2019, a group of Bexar County judges visited with representatives of the Lubbock County Managed Assigned Council (MAC) Program. Seeing thier success with the program, they have sought to establish a MAC Program here in Bexar County.
This multi-year grant from the Indigent Defense Improvement Grant Program would establish the MAC Program in Bexar County and allow for major improvements in the County's indigent defense program and create a well-organized, consolidated, impartial representation model for representing attorneys.
