Advisory Notice of Continuing Petition Period

ADVISORY NOTICE OF CONTINUING PETITION PERIOD

 RELATED TO

BEXAR COUNTY, TEXAS COMBINATION TAX AND REVENUE
CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 2019

TAKE NOTICE that the Commissioners Court (the “Court”) of Bexar County, Texas (the “County”), the petition period related to the Certificates provided under Section 271.049 of the Texas Local Government Code is continuing, open and remains effective.  Based on the provisions of Section 271.049, this petition period for the Certificates provides that if the County receives a petition signed by at least five percent of the qualified voters of the County protesting the issuance of the Certificates, the County will not issue the Certificates unless the issuance is approved at an election ordered, held, and conducted in the manner provided for bond elections under Chapter 1251, Government Code.  The petition period related to the Certificates remains effective until the later of December 27, 2019 or further notice of the Court.

Commencing October 11, 2019, information related to the notice of the intention of the County to issue the Certificates has been posted and continuously available on a daily basis on the website of Bexar County including the entirety of resolution authorizing the notice of intent approved by the Court which has been continuously available on a daily basis on the Bexar County website since November 12, 2019.

The Certificates are to be issued under and pursuant to the provisions of the Certificate of Obligation Act of 1971, as amended, Local Government Code Section 271.041 through Section 271.064.
