- VDR Training
This is the registration form for the Official Bexar County Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) Training and Certification to become a VDR in Bexar County.
If you are not a resident of Bexar County and would like to become a VDR in your respective county, please continue with this registration. The certificate you receive will allow you to become a VDR in your respective county, through reciprocal certification.
- Eligibility
To be eligible for appointment as a volunteer deputy registrar, a person must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Be a United States citizen;
- Not have been determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be:
- Totally mentally incapacitated, or
- Partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote;
- Never have been convicted of failing to deliver a voter application to a voter registrar;
- Not have been finally convicted of a felony, or, if convicted, must have:
- Fully discharged the sentence, including any term of incarceration, parole, or supervision, or
- Completed a period of probation ordered by any court, or
- Been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disability to vote;
- Not have been finally convicted of identity theft under Section 32.51 of the Texas Penal Code; and
- Be a resident of the State of Texas.

DISCLAIMER: You will receive an email from VDR@Bexar.org confirming your training and providing the link to your zoom access code and password. Please save the email and use the link provided to enter the zoom meeting room early.
- Certificate of Appointment
Within three (3) days following your zoom training, you must pick up your Certificate of Appointment and VDR Packet, and take your VDR oath from the Bexar County Elections Department at 1103 S. Frio, Ste100 78207. Failure to pick up your Certificate of Appointment, VDR packet, and take the VDR oath within three (3) days following your training will require you to retake the course.
