BCSO Reserve Division

The Bexar County Reserve Division is a group of dedicated citizen/deputies that provide support to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in patrol, criminal warrants, civil warrants, administration and sex offender registration divisions of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

For deputies just out of the academy we provide real world law enforcement experience in one of our divisions. For those law enforcement officers who have a primary career other than law enforcement, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Division provides an opportunity for community service through volunteering their time to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
SALARY

This is a nonpaid position. Our deputies are all volunteers.
MONTHLY REQUIREMENTS

All our deputies are volunteers that give a minimum of 16 hours a month in support of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

We provide a minimum of 32 hours of training each year. All training at the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy is free to our deputies. We also provide free weapons qualification throughout the year.
