Bexar County Military and Veterans Services Center
Our Mission
To Unite the Community to Accelerate the Impact of Transitioning Military Service Members and Veterans
Stronger Together
The Bexar County Military and Veterans Services Center ("MVSC") is making our county stronger by empowering transitioning military service members and Veterans. We are an advocate agency that serves transitioning military service members, Veterans, military spouses and their survivors with the filing of complex Veteran Affairs benefit claims for the various benefits that they are eligible and entitled to receive. Our team holds VSO and numerous accreditations and attend mandatory training conferences to stay abreast of the ever changing laws and regulations concerning Veterans.
MVSC services, care and advocacy does not stop after filing of a Veteran Affairs benefit claim. We continue to follow the progress of the VA claims process with the Veteran/Military Spouse/Dependents throughout the often lengthy times it takes the VA to reach a decision.
In addition to the Veteran Affairs benefit claims assistance and advice the Bexar County MVSC also assists with employment services and long-term job placement services.

Be Greedy, Hire Military
While many employers look at hiring military personnel as an act of patriotism, the bottom line is that recruiting veterans is a smart business move. Here are the top four reasons why you should be greedy and hire military:
Leadership Skills
Military candidates gain tremendous amounts of leadership skills during their time in the military which prepare them to be better managers and leaders within your organization.
“Get It Done” Attitude
Military candidates’ uncommon determination and grit will help your organization, propelling your team and company forward.
Team Mentality
Military candidates understand how to pull together disparate groups and motivate them to function as a cohesive team in challenging environments.
