The "Basics" Program
The Associated General Contractors of America & Bexar County Small Business & Entrepreneurship Department " The Basics" of Construction Training Program is designed to assist small business contractors in understanding the basic elements of running a commercial construction business.
Presented by Associated General Contractors Association - San Antonio Chapter and Bexar County, the Basics program is a ten-session educational program designed to assist small, minority, and women-owned construction businesses. The sessions included elements of running a successful construction business, project scheduling, financial management and understanding contracts. Liens, estimating, project management, safety, business development, insurance and bonds were other important topics that were covered.
The material of the focuses on both technical and administrative skills, with a special emphasis on how to do business with Bexar County. It is a ten week class that is designed to be informative, educational, and above all, provide an opportunity to interact with industry peers.
