Bexar County offers a competitive regionalized salary. Bexar County as a public entity participates in Social Security and a mandatory retirement program (TCDRS).

Schedule
Most Bexar County offices operate 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some operations using a 3 or 4 shift model to manage 24-hour operations.

Living in Bexar County
Bexar County is the 4th largest County in Texas and the 16th largest nationally. Bexar County has a rich history encompassing the City of San Antonio and other communities which continue to grow as the 25th largest metropolitan area in the United States.

Bexar County has a rich 300 year history, which can be explored by visiting our five (5) 18th century Spanish frontier missions (a UNESCO World Heritage site and interconnected by a 7-mile mission trail), visiting our historical downtown, or taking a self-guided walking tour!

Bexar County offers more than 50 major events and festivals throughout the year, including the Ford Holiday River Parade and Lighting Ceremony, the Texas Folklife Festival and the famous Fiesta, a spirited 10-day salute to the Spanish heritage with numerous events countywide.

In additional to Bexar County's historical sites, we host a variety of other attractions like the Riverwalk, Tower of the Americas, SeaWorld, Alamodome, Six Flags, Morgan's Wonderland, Hotwells, and the Pearl.
