About Wilson County
Wilson County is named after James Charles Wilson, and is home to rolling fields and farm land as it has been for centuries. The 21st century has seen an increase in urbanization, and many residents commute to work in San Antonio.
As of the 2014 census, its population was 46,402. Floresville, the county seat and largest city, has a population of 7,100.
Wilson County is part of the San Antonio-New Braunfels Metropolitan Statistical Area.
