About Kendall County
Ranked fifth in Progressive Farmer's "Best Places to Live in Rural America," Kendall County known for its lush farm land and gorgeous hill country scenery. It is named for George Wilkins Kendall, a journalist and Mexican-American War correspondent.
As of the 2014 census, its population was 38,880. Boerne, the county seat and largest city, has a population of 12,314.
Kendall County is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area.
