Precinct 1: The Jewel of Bexar County

Commissioner Sergio "Chico" Rodriguez

Thank you for visiting the online office of Bexar County Commissioner Chico Rodriguez and all things Precinct 1. The largest of all Bexar County Precincts, Precinct 1 is known as the Jewel of the County. In addition to an intricate, enthralling history, the subject of many scholarly studies, Precinct 1 is also home to armed forces Military Bases, leading-edge industries such as the Toyota Manufacturing Plant, our Spanish Missions which are designated World Heritage Sites, Hot Wells, and exciting urban reclamation projects such as the Mission Reach of the San Antonio river. Undeniably, Precinct 1 is made most spectacular by one unique and irreplaceable thing – the people of Precinct 1: Bexar County residents, business owners, students, and employees - the true Jewels of Bexar County!

I am truly honored, every single day, to be your Precinct 1 Commissioner. Born and bred here, I am unbelievably proud of this precinct and the strides it is making to ensure a better, safer, and more enriching life for every single resident. From our infrastructure projects such as safer high water crossings to our literacy and educational programs such as our Bexar BiblioTech Public Digital Library, we are evolving everyday in numerous, intricate ways. Please remember that I am always here at your service, and my staff and I never forget who we work for - you. Please feel free to contact us whenever we are needed, and stay in touch through our events, and social media. Rest assured that here in the Precinct 1 Office a good old-fashioned phone call still works.
