About Guadalupe County
Named for the river that runs through it, Guadalupe County is a destination for water sports. Cibolo Creek creates the border between Guadalupe and Bexar Counties, and the San Marcos River separates it and Caldwell County.
As of the 2014 Census, Guadalupe County had a population of 147,250. Seguin is the County seat, but its largest city is Schertz with a population of 35,510. Lake McQueeny is a popular summer destination, touted as the "water ski capital of Texas".
Guadalupe County is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area.
