Utility Application Process


Our 2020 program year has ended, we have completed the review of all submissions made and have issued notices regarding your status with our agency. If you are experiencing a COVID-19 related crisis that has affected your ability to maintain your electricity bill please click on the link below to access a CEAP-CRF application.

COVID Emergency Utility Assistance

For COVID related crisis applications, you may submit your application with all supporting documents to our designated email. 

If you received assistance from our program during the 2020 calendar year, please continue to monitor our webpage for updates regarding the availability of applications for the 2021 program year.

Application Status

A Notice of Eligibility or Notice of Denial will be mailed to your residential address. Please call us at 210-355-3666 between 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m, for your application status. 

Will I have my utility services disconnected?

No, at this time CPS Energy and SAWS are not disconnecting service until further notice. For more information please view www.cpsenergy.com/assistance or www.saws.org.

Application Requirements:

  • Read the first page of your application, it explains the DOCUMENTS you will need so we can accept your application.
    • Be sure to include all documents required when submitting your application.
  • Answer all the questions on your application.
    • Incomplete applications will be denied.
  • Be sure to include two (2) telephone numbers AND your email address.
    • This ensures proper communication in case we have questions, and send you notices.
