Technical Support Services provides high-quality, onsite hardware and software support for Bexar County offices and departments. They manage incidents, network changes, and problems. They also offer technical orientation/training for County employees on existing and new systems and software.

Through these services, they enable the Bexar County workforce to be more engaged, agile, secured, and productive in performing their professional duties. Technical Support is committed to an amazing experience for all end users in the County.

Technical Support Teams

In order to provide these services, Technical Support is divided into three teams:

  • Service Desk
  • Technical Training
  • Change Management

The Service Desk is the central point of contact for Bexar County offices and departments to call when issues arise. Specialists log the incident or request, determine the cause of the problem, and resolve it themselves or pass it on to the appropriate service line when necessary.

Technical Training teaches Bexar County employees the skills needed to maintain, support, or operate a particular technology or related application, product, or service used by their office or department in order to ensure they can better serve the constituents of Bexar County.

Change Management focuses on improving internal communications, processes, and efficiencies in BCIT through the effective use of people, processes, and technology. By better managing processes, reducing waste, and improving communication, BCIT can ensure that changes are made smoothly with minimal impact to BCIT customers so they can make changes with minimal impact to their customers.
