The Quality Management service line strives for operational excellence by ensuring product and process quality for Bexar County’s offices and departments.  This is accomplished by identifying and mitigating risks before they become issues in production.  They honor the customer needs and expectations, and verify the quality of the services delivered.

Quality Management Teams

The Quality Management service line is organized into four teams:

  • Business Analysis
  • Testing Support
  • Change Management
  • Process Quality

The Business Analysis team translates ideas and needs into workable definitions. They provide three critical services: requirements elicitation and analysis, process modeling and improvement, and commercial software evaluation. These services ensure that our teams are providing accurate results which meet the specific business needs of our customers.  In turn, reducing the chance for rework or fixes later.

The Testing Support team delivers quality control through three types of software testing: automated, consulting, and functional. They confirm software quality, validate that the software meets customer requirements, and strive to automate and reduce costs where possible.

The Change Management team is the governing body responsible for controlling production changes.  They oversee and provide guidance to the Information Technology department when a change request is going to be introduced to the production environments.  All changes are reviewed and analyzed to safeguard that the business integrity remains intact for the County.

The Process Quality team manages the County’s overall information technology business process structure.  This includes implementing and maintaining process hierarchy that streamlines processes and eliminates redundancy.  They drive the implementation of process related policies, standards, governance, and methodologies to enable the business to seamlessly adopt a process culture.
