The fees for services are located on the Fee Schedules under Services, or you can email your request and we will reply notifying you of the fees for the records requested.
It usually takes 8 - 12 weeks to complete a report. Please do not send any requests before 12 weeks as we cannot accept any public information requests for open cases. Be sure to include the deceased's name, date of death, and return address on your request (or an email address if you prefer to have it emailed). A Request for Public Information form must be submitted, either by email to MERecords@Bexar.org, mail, or in person during business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 noon or 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
All requests for records on homicide and undetermined cases will be sent to the District Attorney's Office for review before we can release the records. Any subpoenas or requests for “any and all records” (regardless of manner of death) will also be sent to the District Attorney's Office for review prior to releasing any records.
