FLORES PARKING GARAGE

In June 1988 as part of the Justice Center development downtown and the first county garage. It is a five-story, 669 parking space garage. An addition to the existing parking garage opened in August 2011. The new parking garage addition consists of 543 parking spaces and 17,843 square feet of office space to be utilized by Human Resources and downtown maintenance operations.

Comal Parking Garage

In 2012 the new Comal Street Parking Garage opened consisting of 963 parking spaces and office space at the first level for the Sheriff’s Office. An additional 233 parking spaces located at the new Adult Detention Center, South Annex Facility were added to the Parking portfolio in FY 2012 – 2013. Bexar County provides vehicular parking at different county facilities. Two of the parking facilities support those functions occurring in the two major downtown campuses: the Judicial complex and the Adult Detention Center. The county averages about 200,000 persons annually using county parking facilities consisting of Bexar County employees, citizens, attorneys, and visitors. The county owns and operates two parking garages and provides surface public parking lots adjacent to some of the county buildings. 

The total parking managed under the parking portfolio is close to 4,835 parking spaces.

Striving to Provide the Best Customer Experience

The Parking Section strives to provide the best customer service while maintaining environmentally friendly and economically responsible policies while providing parking at no cost or reasonable market rates.

The following amenities are provided to customers:

  • ADA accessible parking spaces and accessible routes to all county facilities
  • Bike Share Stations
  • Special parking rates for citizens that are completing their Jury Duty commitments
  • Parking facilities are within easy access to VIA bus lines

Photography or filming for news, advertising, or commercial purposes

Photographs or filming may take place in facilities under the jurisdiction of Facilities Management only with the Director’s consent. Except where security regulations apply or court order or rule prohibits it, photographs or filming for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, or courtrooms when used for public meetings. Photographs and filming for advertising and commercial purposes are prohibited.
