In Bexar County , we deal with many issues that allow the County to maintain well-rounded quality of life for its residents. In addition, the County has continued to grow through the hard work of our departments, executive directors and staff.

The Bexar County Department of Economic Development helps businesses to expand, sustain, or relocate successfully. We also have the Bexar County Department of Community Investment ( DCI ), which strives to ensure that County residents receive the empowerment services to improve their quality of life while making an economic impact on Bexar County . The Bexar County Public Works Department is responsible for county roads, bridges, vehicles, equipment, and parks and facilities. Our public works staff strives to ensure environmental compliance, fire safety, good working relationships and high standards of professional management for Bexar County and its community. Their overall mission is to preserve all county resources by providing efficient services that ensure the safety, health, and welfare of their residents and to improve quality of life.

There are many other parts to the Bexar County organization. Together with community, businesses, non-profit organizations, the City of San Antonio and surrounding incorporated areas, the County works to achieve the best results for its residents; state of the art quality of life and wellness.
