If Charged with a traffic violation other than  failure to maintain liability insurance, permitting unlicensed driver to drive, or violating a drivers license restriction code, Texas law gives you an absolute right to take a Driving Safety Course to have the offense dismissed if you meet the following qualifications and correctly follow the instructions listed below in the section entitled Procedures.  (Keep in mind that your insurance rates can only be affected if you are convicted of a MOVING violation).
