WHAT: The purpose of this Symposium is to address the critical issue of jail overcrowding in Texas. More specifically, our speakers and panelists will address who is in jail and why, offender re-entry, jail alternatives, and how the 81st Legislator is looking at and handling this crisis.
The Symposium is free, but space is limited. Also, the Conference of Urban Counties is allowing for up to 6 credit hours for County Judges and Commissioners.
