The HIDALGO FOUNDATION of Bexar County, a non-profit organization, was formed in the summer of 2001 by Founder and President Tracy Wolff with the mission of preserving and renovating the century old historic Bexar County Courthouse. The Bexar County Courthouse is the oldest and largest continuously operated historic courthouse in Texas. The Foundation's original goal was to raise six million dollars in order to renovate eleven historic courtrooms, over two-thousand pieces of historic furniture, several public corridors, and to reconstruct and relocate the Child Abuse and Neglect Courtrooms and support areas.
The five-member volunteer Hidalgo Board of Directors provides independent governance and leadership to the Hidalgo Foundation.
