Bexar County District Clerk´s Office 2nd Annual Picnic On August 21, 2004, Bexar County District Clerk Margaret G. Montemayor held her 2nd Annual Office Picnic at Rodriguez County Park. The Calender Event Commitee did a great job organizing this year´s Office Picnic. There was fun for kids and adults alike. On the menu were hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and other goodies. The kids enjoyed water balloon fights and the musical chairs were a big hit for both kids and adults. Volleyball games were played and there also was a DJ spinning music for most of the afternoon. The highlight of the day was the much anticipated softball game between the Criminal side of the office and the Civil side. The DC Outlaws, the criminal clerks, once again for the second consecutive year defeated the civil clerks. After last year´s close fought game, criminal´s win this year was a rout from the first pitch. When the dust settled the Outlaws outlasted the Civil Clerks 32 to 17 and came away with the championship trophy. This was a game played only by employees so the competition and pre game trash talking was fierce. Congratulations to the Outlaws... Denise, Anthony, Roland, Jesse, Mo, Grace, Gilbert, Benny, Elvia, Laura, Susie, Brandy and Michael!!! A second softball game was held for employees, family and friends. The Civil side came away with a one run win. All in all it was a great day for all employees and their families, Again, thanks to the Calender Event Committee for a great picnic! |
