FORMER HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL COACH PLEADS TO HAVING A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH A STUDENT
San Antonio, Texas: April 7, 2011
Breck Ross, age 35, pled no contest today to the felony charge of Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student. While Ross was the girls’ basketball coach at Antonian Preparatory High School, he allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with one of his female basketball students. The student was 17 years old at the time of the alleged offense. Ross resigned shortly after the alleged relationship was reported to the high school. Sentencing is set for June 10, 2011 in the 175th District Court.
Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student is a second degree felony with a range of punishment between 2 years and 20 years imprisonment and up to a $10,000 fine.
