DISTRICT ATTORNEY AND SAN ANTONIO COUNCIL FOR ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE TO HOST DWI TRAINING CONFERENCE

San Antonio, Texas: February 18, 2010

District Attorney Susan D. Reed, along with the San Antonio Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse, will be hosting a conference presented by the Texas District and County Attorneys Association. The conference will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the South Texas Center AT&T Building located at 7500 U.S. Highway 90 West. Focusing on D.W.I. investigation and prosecution, this free training is for prosecutors and law enforcement officers to help them combat drunk driving both on the roadways and in the courtroom. Participants will receive training in crime scene investigations, field sobriety testing, recent case law updates and the use of blood search warrants in DWI cases. With over one hundred fifty people expected to attend, registration quickly filled and the course is now full. In addition to the District Attorney's prosecutors and investigators, officers from the San Antonio Police Department, Bexar County Sheriff's Office and other local law enforcement agencies will attend.
