Death Sentence of Clifford Kimmel Upheld in District Court 

San Antonio, Texas; August 30, 2005: United States District Court Judge Xavier Rodriguez has upheld the conviction and death sentence of Clifford Kimmel. Kimmel was convicted and sentenced to death in February 2000 for the murder of Rachel White, Susan Halverstadt and Brett Roe. Clifford Kimmel, acting together with Derek Murphy, broke into Rachel White's apartment on April 9, 1999. The two stabbed the three women to death. Derek Murphy was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison for his role in the killing. No execution date has been set for Kimmel.
