Employment

All Forensic Scientist positions require, at a minimum, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry, Biology, Forensic Science, Natural Science or a closely related field.

Competition for Forensic Scientist positions can be extremely competitive.  Many selected candidates have a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Forensic Science and a B.S. in one of the sciences.  A degree in Criminal Justice in not considered a substitution for a B.S. degree in science.
