Constable Support Deputies

 About The Program:

Like many Texas Law Enforcement Departments, Constables are authorized to use Support personnel who meet stringent requirements of qualification and training which include more than 600 hours of state approved Peace Officer Training. Many of these officers are retired military police officers, city and county police officers, FBI or other federal police personnel, while others are business and professional people drawn from the community served, including attorneys, physicians, pharmacists, teachers and others. They are regular Deputy Constables and must meet the same training requirements as full time Deputy Constables.

Support Deputy Constables make a substantial investment in the purchase and maintenance of their uniforms, weapons, vehicles, and equipment. In addition, they donate thousands of service hours to local schools, churches, and other community groups each year as well as participating in search and rescue operations whenever needed.

Support Officers who work for Precinct 2, receive the same respect and treatment as full time Officers. We understand the commitment and dedication of our officers through the unwavering professionalism in performing their job assignments. Assignments for the precinct include Civil Process, Criminal Warrants, Writs, Court Security, Traffic Enforcement, Community Education, Crime Prevention, and much more. If you feel you can make the commitment and be dedicated to helping your community; WE NEED YOU!
