2010 EVENTS

             The Texas Police Games

The annual Texas Police Games were held on June 16th-20th, 2010, in South Padre Island, Texas. Each year Local, State, and Federal Officers, from around the State of Texas, come together and compete in a variety of sporting events.

Deputy Lara has been employed with Bexar County for 10 years. He began his Law Enforcement career with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office; where he was for 6 years before transferring to the Bexar County Constable's Office Precinct 1. For almost two years Deputy Lara has trained extensively in the art of Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, and has competed in several tournaments around Texas. Deputy Lara has constantly placed in these tournaments, and still remains undefeated. Deputy Lara went to the Texas Police Olympics in South Padre Island where he competed in a submission wrestling tournament. Deputy Lara, once again, went undefeated in his division; thus winning 1st Place and returning home with a Gold Medal.
