
Constable Ruben C. Tejeda is responsible for the newly redistricted Precinct 1. Precinct 1 consists of approximately 1,247 square miles, 8 school districts and 3 surrounding counties which include Medina, Atascosa, and Wilson. Precinct 1 is patrolled by 18 deputies. The primary duties of a Constable and his deputies are to deliver and execute civil process papers to include: criminal warrants, subpoenas, forcible detainer suits, small claims and different types of writs such as possession, garnishment, and sequestration. Duties also include enforcing local, state, and federal laws.

Bike Patrol
The Bike Patrol will be utilized to support school district officers and patrol areas of the community which are in need of a police presence.
DARE AND ASAP
The Drug Awareness Resistance Education (DARE) program officer and the Absent Student Assistance Program Officer (ASAP) officer will be in the schools to implement a drug awareness and resistance program in conjunction with school administration. These officers will rotate within the 8 school districts in Precinct 1.
