
Constable RUBEN C. TEJEDA is responsible for the newly redistricted Precinct 1. Bexar County consists of approximately 1,247 square miles including 8 school districts. Precinct 1, in southern Bexar County, is bordered by the three neighboring counties of Medina, Atascosa, and Wilson. Precinct 1 is patrolled by twenty-one deputies. The primary duties of a Constable and his deputies are to deliver and execute civil process papers to include: criminal warrants, subpoenas, forcible detainer suits, small claims and different types of writs such as possession, garnishment, and sequestration. Duties also include enforcing local, state, and federal laws. Constable Ruben C.Tejeda is committed to making Precinct 1 a safe living and working community by implementing the following programs to deter crime:
BIKE PATROL UNIT
The Bike Patrol will be utilized to support school district officers and patrol areas of the community which are in need of a police presence.
D.A.R.E., G.R.E.A.T., AND A.S.A.P
The Drug Awareness Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), G.R.E.A.T. program, and the Absent Student Assistance Program (ASAP) officers will be in the schools to implement drug / gang awareness in conjunction with school administration. These officers will rotate within the eight school districts in Precinct 1.
