South Texas Area Regional (S.T.A.R.) Soccer Complex proposed a Regional Soccer Park of 14 soccer fields. a "first of its kind" in the United States with over 21.5 acres dedicated to outdoor recreation for people with mental and physical disabilities.
S.T.A.R. SOCCER COMPLEX PROGRESS REPORT:
The Soccer fields have progressed well - especially with the recent rains. Some of the sideline areas still need topsoil and sprigging to them. We have invested additional funds to improve on the irrigation by installing loops and additional rotors to increase zone watering and to maximize coverage. With the heavy rains we have found areas where run off was more intense than anticipated and additional drainage and paving has been implemented to resolve this and any future issues. The fields are well on their way to becoming first class play surfaces for all league levels to enjoy for years to come.
McAllister Little League - $2.67 Million

The University of Incarnate Word (UIW) proposed a competitive fencing facility in Bexar County to provide a high-quality US Fencing club to the community as well as host regional, national and local US Fencing competitions annually.
