DESCRIPTION: On November 27th at 7 PM, Commissioner Adkisson will be hosting a town hall meeting in his precinct on "Terrorism and Preparedness." In light of the anthrax cases and the events of the past week, it is important that we reach all citizens of Bexar County, once again, to invite them to attend this very important meeting.
Representatives from Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, Federal Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, the Metropolitan Health District, US Air Force, and The University Health System will be in attendance to discuss their involvement in emergency preparedness.
Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Adkisson urges everyone to attend the terrorism preparedness meeting. "While we can take pride in the military progress America is making in Afghanistan, we cannot be unaware of certain possibilities our enemies may pursue here in our own back yard," stated Commissioner Adkisson. "I have received many phone calls regarding Bexar County's preparedness and am expecting a large turnout from both citizens and elected officials on Tuesday night."
