  2. Alamo Colleges Career Skills Program Classes: Machinist

    The competency based 180 hours training includes a blend of lectures, online training, and hands-on skills labs for machinists. Upon successful completion, students will receive: National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certificates in Measurement & Safety Awareness, Job Planning, Benchwork and Layout, Drill Press and Milling.     This two-hour course is a comprehensive look into succession planning and generational transition issues. The audience will gain an understanding of the realities of transition, along with steps and models for successful transition, exit and legacy planning. Learning Objectives: 1.) Understand the realities of succession and generational transition. 2.) Understand the models and steps available for successful succession planning, exit planning and legacy planning. Instructions: This is a free event! Registration is encouraged as seating is limited. The workshop will be held at the UTSA Downtown Campus, Durango Building, Room 2.316.
