  1. OSHA Certification: 10 Hour Course Day 2

    This OSHA authorized training course covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which employers may encounter. The course will emphasize: hazard identification avoidance control and prevention As a course provided through the SBDC, special attention will be paid to employee rights employer responsibilities how complaints are filed how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards The curriculum will include information on Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, Fire Protection and Safety and Health Plans. Participants will learn valuable information that can be easily translated into actionable safety programs that reduce accidents your workplace and show a commitment to safety standards. The course will be taught by CJ Petitt, SPHR, MBA. CJ has over 10 years experience in teaching and assisting businesses with their safety programs. She is an authorized OSHA instructor.

Presenters gain invaluable, supportive insight to help foster their business, and have the opportunity to network with members of the San Antonio entrepreneurial community. Audience participants hear about exciting business concepts and engage with presenters in a casual, responsive environment. At this workshop, our experienced instructors will teach you the components of a business plan using an interactive format in a computer lab setting. Walk away from this workshop with the start of a business plan written specifically for your business, an electronic template and resources to guide you through the process! Topics discussed in this workshop include: business plan basics, feasibility process, business plan structure, and more. No food allowed in the PC Lab please. Drinks with a secure lid are permitted. The fee for this workshop is $40 with advance payment or $60 at the door. The workshop will be held at the UTSA Downtown Campus, Durango Building, Room 1.402.
