Collective Bargaining

In 2005, the Deputy Sheriff's Association and the Bexar County Commissioners entered into a collective bargaining agreement which provided all uniformed Sheriff's Office personnel with many additional benefits that we had sought for years. Hazardous duty pay, yearly pay raises, educational and certification pay and many other benefits. were all part of the initial agreement. Every 3 years, our collective bargaining agreement is re-negotiated and it is the intent of the Deputy Sheriff's Association to gain better benefits for all uniformed Sheriff's Office personnel for each 3 year cycle.
We are currently preparing to begin negotiations on the next 3 year contract starting in 2009.
