Lorena
Hernandez, 17, was last seen alive on June 14th, 2000, at
approximately 9:00 p.m. Hernandez left her home at 502 East
Park, San Antonio, Texas, headed to a local neighborhood store located
at the corner of McCullough and East Evergreen.
A
witness reported seeing Lorena Hernandez walking by the 500 block of
East Evergreen when an unidentified Hispanic male driving a white
colored sports car stopped and spoke with Hernandez. After a
brief conversation with the man, Hernandez got in the vehicle which
was last seen traveling towards McCullough street.
The
suspect was described as being an Hispanic man with very dark skin
tone and pock marks on his face with no facial hair. The man
appeared to be in his early 20's with a medium physical
build.
The
vehicle described as totally white in color had the body shape of a
1990's model Isuzu or Toyota with tinted windows.
During
the late afternoon hours of Saturday June 17th, 2000, the decomposed
body of 17 year old Lorena Hernandez was found in the shallow waters
of the Calaveras Creek, approximately a quarter mile south of South
East Loop 1604 in South Bexar County, Texas.
