In fulfillment of the Texas Rail Road Commission (TRRC) pipeline safety rules and guidelines, the Public Safety Awareness Section and Gas Operations personnel conduct natural gas and electric safety training classes for first responders in the City Public Service area. The classes are designed to educate emergency personnel on how to handle natural gas and electric emergencies safely and to make sure that the lines of communication between first responders and CPS are always open.
