Executive Division

The Executive Division includes the operational functions of the Auditor's Office which consists of Executive Administration, Investments, Systems and Procedures, and the review and approval of contracts/agreements for financial content.

Executive Administration:

This department is an operational support department within the Auditor's Office.

Systems and Procedures:

This department is responsible for the development of Accounting and Financial related policies and procedures, and for the documentation of and monitoring of Financial systems.

Property and Casualty Insurance:

The Property and Casualty Insurance Department is responsible for administration of programs that insure Bexar County employees and property. Among other duties, the department:

  • Provides insurance requirements on County contracts
  • Provides information and assistance regarding requirements for citizens to file claims related to accidents with County employees or accidents on or in county property including claims for auto, property and personal injury (excluding Workers' Compensation Insurance)
  • Receives injury and incident reports from County employees (excluding Workers' Compensation Insurance)
  • Audit Worker´s Compensation benefits and medical payments

Payroll Audit:

Payroll Information is originated in each County department. This Division verifies and processes the payroll. In addition, the department prepares all required state and federally mandated payroll reports. The Auditor's Payroll department also oversees the user security related to the County's automated HR/Payroll system.
