National Night Out, sponsored by National Association of Town Watch, is celebrating its 30th year of “America’s Night Out Against Crime” on Tuesday, October 1st. Celebrated annually in communities across the United States, National Night Out started in 1984 in an attempt to increase community involvement in crime prevention activities and to promote community awareness and camaraderie.
Bexar County communities and residents can invite Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputies to October 1st National Night Out events, by contacting Sgt. Leo Horton, Patrol - Special Operations by telephone at (210)335-5017, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Sheriff's Office will gladly attend as many community events as possible.
