JUVENILES, MINORS AND TRUANCY CASES
All charges filed against a juvenile or minor are handled on a case by case basis, therefore, there is no pre-set fine schedule available.
-
By law, a parent or legal guardian must accompany their child to all court appearances. This is also true for 18-20 years olds charged with Minor In Possession or other under-age offenses.
-
Failure to comply with any portion of a Court Order may result in the transfer of the case to Bexar County Juvenile Probation.
-
A child may be ordered to get professional counseling or attend a Tobacco or Alcohol Awareness Class. Please call and verify costs as some may charge a fee.
-
If a child has been ordered to perform community service hours, the legal guardian is responsible for finding a non-profit agency at which the child can perform the court ordered hours. A non-profit agency will have a Tax I.D. number that lists them as a non-profit agency.
-
If you have any questions - please call 210-335-4700 and press option 3, before the child works any hours. We will be happy to assist you in determining if the organization qualifies as a non-profit agency. |
