On December 8, 2010, Commissioners Court approved creation of the Bexar County Task Force on Indigent Defense. The Court charged the Task Force to examine best practices for the provision of indigent defense services and recommend which method provides the best value and service, and to identify and review judicial system practices and policies which drive up costs and recommend changes to those practices.
