Best of Texas Winner 2013The Best of Texas Awards program salutes IT professionals and projects in Texas state and local government organizations and educational institutions.

In 2013, the Bexar County Candidate Campaign Finance Reports Search was selected as the Best Application Serving the Public for its ability to allow users to search for financial reports by office, name or date.

DGAA 2013 WinnerThe Digital Government Achievement Awards (DGAA), which highlight outstanding agency and department websites and applications, presented 57 awards in 10 categories in 2013.

The The County Clerk and District Clerk Court Records Search won an award in the Government-to-Citizen Local Government category.

Best of Texas 2012 Winner The Best of Texas annual awards program spotlights the top government IT efforts over the past year in the state of Texas.

In 2012, the Bexar County Parks Reservation System was honored as the “Best In-House Developed Application” for its features and the ability to reserve a park online, which has streamlined a manual and paper-based system.

Special Achievement in GIS AwardThe Esri SAG Award focuses on recognizing organizations that embrace geographic information system (GIS) technology in order to improve interactions within the community.

The Bexar County GIS group was recognized for their focus on providing county staff and constituents with access to GIS data and functions in order to ensure more effecient business processes and information.

Digital Counties Survey Winner: 2012The Digital Counties Survey awards focuses on identifying counties that lead the way in technological innovation despite their limited resources.

2012's winners were identified by their ability to “save money [...] by simplifying their information technology infrastructure and sharing systems with other governments.”

In 2012 Bexar County was ranked 5th amongst counties that surved a population of 500,000 or more.

Best of Texas 2011 WinnerThe Best of Texas awards program recognizes public sector professionals and local government organizations for their dedication and contributions to IT in Texas.

In 2011, the My Bexar Community Dashboard won the Best Application Serving the Public award given by the Best of Texas.

Also in 2011, Regina Pickard, webmaster of the Web group, won an Outstanding IT Service and Support award.

Digital Survey Winner 2011The Digital Counties Survey awards is a program aimed at highlighting innovation and achievement in technology implemented by county governments.

The survey is conducted annually by the Digital Communities program, a joint effort of the Center for Digital Government and Government Technology.

In 2011, Bexar County was survyed as being one of the top counties serving a population of 500,000 or more.

DGAA WinnersThe Digital Government Achievement Awards (DGAA) highlight outstanding agency and department websites and applications. Forty-three awards in six categories were given in 2011.

The My Bexar Community Dashboard won an award in the Government-to-Citizen County Government category.
