TECHNICAL SUPPORT DIVISION
Court Technology Support Specialist
Under general supervision, is responsible for providing complex, wide-ranging technical support to courtroom and associated offices; installs, services and maintains audio-visual (A/V) equipment and computer hardware/software; assists in determining needs and ordering necessary A/V equipment, hardware and software; performs maintenance of network hardware and software; responds to after-hour calls; and performs related duties as required.

Network Architect I
Under general supervision, is responsible for network infrastructure planning and development; assists Technical Support Specialists with software and hardware requirements; performs diagnostic tests; monitors, maintains, upgrades, and assists with the design of County Local Area Networks and user application software; maintains software installation and relocation records; modifies programs; tests and evaluates hardware and software; assists programming staff; responds to after-hours calls; and performs related duties as required.

Network Architect II
Under direction, is responsible for network infrastructure planning and development, monitoring, maintaining and upgrading the County Local Area Networks and user application software; assists with design and integration procedures of County LANs; performs diagnostic tests; modifies programs; trains Technical Support Specialists; tests and evaluates hardware and software; maintains software installation and relocation records; assists programming staff; responds to after-hour calls; and performs related duties as required.

Chief Network Architect
Under direction, is responsible for overseeing network architect Is and IIs regarding operational aspects of County computer network administration; designs, implements, and maintains Microsoft Exchange on the network; designs, plans, and implements firewall security and network infrastructure solutions; manages network servers; provides documentation and tactical & strategic input on overall network planning; and performs other duties as
assigned.

Technical Support Manager
Under general direction oversees the implementation and expansion strategies for the County’s networked computer systems; develops enterprise-wide strategies for planning, implementation, use and management of the County’s networks and data communication technologies; ensures effective management of software licensing and hardware inventories for County government; is responsible for help desk, hardware and software support for County government.

Technical Support Coordinator
Under direction, is responsible for providing a single point of contact for all end-users regarding all work order requests; provides reliable, timely support of problem and change management issues; plans, prioritizes, delegates and reviews the work of assigned project staff; manages assigned projects; develops, maintains, reviews and monitors project plans; act as project lead on mid-size projects; develops workflow processes; develops training programs; monitors outstanding problems; and performs other duties as assigned.

Communication Technician
Under direct supervision, is responsible for the installation, repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of voice and data networks; installs, relocates and maintains telephone cabling, terminals, printers, and other equipment; and performs related duties as required.

Communication Technician Supervisor
Under direction, is responsible for the supervision of installation, repairs and maintenance of the County’s telecommunications network including major telephone switches, stand-alone systems, local and wide area networks and voice and data devices; designs telephone, local area and wide area networks for County departments and offices; checks and troubleshoots to ensure systems are operational; and performs related duties as required.

 Lead Communication Technician
Under direct supervision, is responsible for the installation, repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of voice data networks; assists the supervisor in major projects; installs and maintains central control panels for voice and data cable systems; assists with scheduling of workload and major projects; and performs related duties as required.

Asset Control Analyst
Under direction, is responsible for maintaining control/inventory of County hardware and software assets; maintains database regarding disposition of assets; processes end-user purchase order requests; expedites and tracks purchase orders; monitors and records significant project events; completes physical inventory of related assets; assists management in monitoring and reporting performance indicators; and performs other duties as required.

Technical Support Specialist II
Under general supervision, installs, relocates, troubleshoots, repairs, performs diagnostic tests and preventative maintenance on mainframe terminals, personal computer workstations and peripherals; determines hardware requirements and needs; tests and evaluates hardware and software for efficiency; and performs related duties as required.

Technical Support Specialist III
Under general supervision, is responsible for training network users in network software applications; assists users with software requirements; performs diagnostic tests; monitors, maintains and upgrades County Local Area Networks (LANs) and user application software; maintains software installation and relocation records; modifies programs; tests and evaluates hardware and software; assists programming staff; responds to after-hour calls; and performs related duties as required.

Technical Support Specialist IV
Under general direction, is responsible for supervising large equipment moves of electronic components; assists in tracking hardware and software inventory and scheduling workload; trains and advises Technical Support Staff; assists with the transition of infrastructure solutions; leads projects and performs maintenance of network hardware and software; responds to after-hour calls; and performs related duties as required.

Court Technology Support Specialist
Under general supervision, is responsible for providing complex, wide-ranging technical support to courtrooms and associated offices; installs, services and maintains audio-visual (A/V) equipment and computer hardware/software; assists in determining needs and ordering necessary A/V equipment, hardware and software; performs maintenance of network hardware and software; responds to after-hour calls; produces written and electronic materials, procedures and instructions and prepares reports; and performs related duties as required.

Technology Business Analyst
Under direction, is responsible for analyzing department/division end-user systems; designing multiple courses of action to include organizational process improvement, minicomputer hardware and software options, and mainframe programming alternatives; conducts management analysis and research; develops department/division performance measurements; advises and assists executives and managers with information management policies and procedures; and performs related duties as required.

ENTERPRISE DATA CENTER
Production Control Analyst
Under general direction, is responsible for reducing errors and costs in production batch jobs and on-line systems through systematic review and diagnosis of problems and failures; develops and implements change management control plans, policies and procedures; analyzes data structures, flow charts and user manuals regarding effectiveness and compliance with approved standards, objectives and procedures; monitors and assists with job scheduling, set-up and data input activities; and performs related duties as required.

Systems Programmer
Under direction, is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and upgrading Bexar County’s mainframe operating systems; performs diagnostic tests; modifies programs; trains users; tests and evaluates software; assists programming staff; responds to after-hour calls; and performs related duties as required.

Systems Programming Administrator
Under general direction, is responsible for operation of high level mainframe operating system; coordinates and supervises Systems Programming projects; supervises Systems Programmers; ensures compliance with programming standards; participates in strategic planning process; designs computer programs and applications; and performs related duties as required.

Lead Computer Operator
Under general supervision, is responsible for the proper operations of computer equipment and peripherals; troubleshoots hardware, software and teleprocessing problems; assists users with difficult hardware and software malfunctions; assists with training Computer Operators; and performs related duties as required.

Media Librarian
Under direct supervision, is responsible for the storage and maintenance of all magnetic media; catalogues media and maintains inventory list; transports media to and from off-site storage; archives media and retrieves it for special request jobs; updates and maintains production control cards; and performs related duties as required.

Data Control Supervisor Under general supervision, is responsible for the production, scheduling and quality of computer processing jobs; supervises Media Librarian and Data Control Clerk; maintains production schedules, run sheets and distribution logs; troubleshoots malfunctions in run jobs with errors; assists programmers and end users on special requests; prepare and submit periodic statistical reports on job production, system usage and downtime; and performs related duties as required.

Enterprise Data Center Shift Supervisor
Under general supervision, is responsible for the daily computer center operations; supervises and trains computer operations staff; troubleshoots hardware and software problems; assists users with complex hardware and software malfunctions, ensures correct application of policies and procedures; performs quality control checks of computer run jobs; assists with cable and equipment installations and moves; prepare daily reports and periodic statistical reports on system usage; and performs related duties as required.

Enterprise Data Center Manager - IS
Under general direction, is responsible for supervising the continuous operation of all County computer equipment including teleprocessing networks; supervises Operations, Data Control, Network Administration and workstation repair personnel; researches and resolves problems and inquiries; supervises and monitors 24 hour/7 day operation of Bexar County computer systems; develops and implements procedural standards, work schedules, tape control, and operator reference documents; develops and monitors departmental budget; and performs related duties as required.

Enterprise Data Center Coordinator
Under direction, is responsible for supervising the continuous operation of County mainframe and computer equipment including teleprocessing networks; supervises Operations and Data Control staff; solves computer network problems; responds to after-hours calls; supervises the mainframe computer network infrastructure planning and development; plans and administers acquisition/installation of mainframe computer hardware and software related to section’s responsibilities; maintains accurate records of service level agreements to insure proper maintenance service on mainframe computer hardware and section related software; performs related duties as required.

Computer Operator
Under direct supervision, is responsible for the daily operation of computer equipment and peripherals; troubleshoots hardware, software and teleprocessing malfunctions; assists users with hardware and software malfunctions; performs initial program loads and other required actions; and performs related duties as required.

Data Control Specialist
Under direct supervision, is responsible for the scheduling, maintenance and distribution of computer processing jobs; archives and retrieves computer generated reports; microfiche and tapes; assists users with questions or problems; greets the public and answers telephones; and performs related duties as required.

APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Database Coordinator
Under general direction, is responsible for leading project technical teams; providing guidance and advice for all technical aspects of projects from the County’s perspective; developing mainframe and client/server utilities; providing training and technical support to systems development staff; coordinates the planning of system and acceptance testing; coordinates the development of test scripts; coordinates security policies and procedures; manages Oracle databases and applications to ensure optimum system performance; and performs related duties as required.

Data Security Analyst
Under direction, is responsible for ensuring the security of County data; monitors security policies based on management directives; develops computer data security policy and assists with development of County-wide security programs; preparing security reports and monthly cost reports; coordinating all user access maintenance; and performs related duties as required.

e-Government Developer
Under direction, is responsible for developing, testing and implementing web-based applications designed to provide County-wide users with access to government information and services; assists Internet/intranet Webmaster in maintaining and promoting the Bexar County website and other web-based resources for Bexar County users; and performs related duties as required.

Programmer
Under general supervision, is responsible for writing County computer programs; evaluates existing programs; troubleshoots problems and debugs programs; creates test data; provides systems training and support to end-users; responds to after-hours calls; and performs related duties as required.

Analyst Programmer I
Under general supervision, is responsible for analyzing coding and testing computer applications systems and systems maintenance solutions. Identifies and evaluates end user needs, designs and develops computer applications, participates in the training of operators and end-users, monitors test systems, and may oversee programmers working on applications developments, enhancements or maintenance projects and performs related duties as required.

Analyst Programmer II
Under direction, is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing implementing and testing computer applications and systems maintenance solutions; supervises the coding and testing of County applications systems and maintenance solutions; develops new systems based on studies and other specifications; oversees the work of programmers, Analyst Programmer Is on system development and other projects; trains end-users and provides written instructions; and performs related duties as required.

Analyst Programmer III
Under direction, designs, programs, tests and implements computerized information processing system; Coordinates and supervises system development projects including compliance with system specifications, security and quality assurance; develops new systems based on studies, project requirements and user specifications; assists with on-time and on-budget deliver of all annual programming projects; coordinates with other Information Services division to ensure efficient, effective and quality delivery and operation of technology system solutions; and performs related duties as required.

Webmaster
Under direction, is responsible for developing, administering and maintaining all aspects of County Internet/intranet website; designs, monitors and maintains security programs and procedures for all Internet/intranet resources; develops and establishes standards for Internet/intranet resources to ensure effective, efficient delivery, and support; train users in Internet/intranet application functions and documents all basic network procedures; and performs related duties as required.

Applications Development Programming Aide
Under general supervision, performs quality assurance checks on timesheets; maintains Applications Development Project database; reviews and reports failed production jobs and system error logs; reviews and reports status of in-progress programming projects; coordinates division meeting and records meeting minutes; coordinates, schedules and maintains documentation related to training activities; monitors help desk calls assigned to the Application Development section; and performs related duties as required.

Database Administrator
Under general direction, is responsible for managing Database Analysts and Data Security Analysts; designs, maintains, installs and customizes Bexar County database; response to after-hour calls; advises systems development staff on database design; develops specifications for database construction and maintenance; codes and tests elections display system; responds to after-hour calls; and performs related duties as required.

Database Analyst
Under direction, is responsible for monitoring and maintaining Bexar County database; developing mainframe and client/server systems; providing training and technical support to systems development staff; developing policies and procedures; installs, maintains, and tunes database, programming, middleware and add-on software products; develops mainframe and client/server systems utilities; develops policies and procedures for systems development; and performs related duties as required.

Applications Development Manager
Under administrative direction, is responsible for deliver of long-term and annual programming projects, development of technology strategies and security/programming standards; plans, develops and manages overall short and long term plans, strategies, policies and procedures regarding applications development projects for the County; provides high level projects management for the County-wide information management initiatives; and performs related duties as required.

Applications Development Coordinator
Under general direction, is responsible for coordination and supervision of applications development projects; assists with on-time and on-budget delivery of all programming projects; assists with development of annual and long term programming projects and technology strategies; supervises Analyst Programmers and Programmers; ensures compliance with programming standards; participates in strategic planning process; designs computer programs and applications; and performs related duties as required.

COUNTY INTEGRATED JUSTICE SYSTEM DIVISION
Project Manager – County Integrated Justice System
Under administrative direction, is responsible for managing the planning, development and implement of the County Integrated Justice System (CIJS) throughout Bexar County Offices and Departments to ensure all project obligations and objectives are met; analyze requirements, evaluates new technology, presents recommendations, and plans test and implementation schedules; supervises, trains and evaluates CIJS project team; provides tactical and strategic guidance to support system development; coordinates and oversees organizational change management; prepares and issues written correspondence; ensures contract compliance; and performs related duties as required.
