OCHOA BROTHERS INDICTED FOR CAPITAL MURDER

Bexar County District Attorney Susan D. Reed announced today that Baron Ochoa, 37, and Conrad Ochoa, 32, were indicted today for Capital Murder.

These charges stem from the investigation of a triple murder that occurred September 14, 2011. The San Antonio Fire Department responded to a fire at a home located at 214 Karen Lane and discovered three bodies later identified as Samvastion Ochoa, 10, Rebecca Gonzales, 31, and Pamela Wenske, 41. Investigation revealed that each of the them had been stabbed multiple times prior to the fire. Rebecca Gonzales had been in a relationship with Conrad Ochoa and Samvastion “Sammie” was their child. Conrad Ochoa is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of Possession of Child Pornography. Baron Ochoa is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child in which it is alleged Samvastion is one of the victims. All of the charges result from the investigation into the murders.

Capital Murder is punishable by the death sentence or life without parole.

Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child is a first degree felony, punishable by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for life or for any term of not more than 99 years or less than 25 years. In addition to imprisonment, a fine not to exceed $10,000 may be assessed.

Possession of Child Pornography is a third degree felony, punishable by confinement in prison for a period of two to ten years and a possible fine of up to $10,000 dollars.
