Bexar County Veterans Service Office Logo Contest

The Bexar County Veterans Service Office is looking for a new logo. The community is being
asked to submit entries that best represent the values and tradition of military service as well as
the services provided by the Veterans Service Office.

The County’s Veterans Service Office assists veterans and their dependents in obtaining benefits
earned through service to our country from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, state and
local agencies. Maneuvering through the process of accessing benefits and specialized services
can often be overwhelming for Veterans or their survivors. The office also assists clients by
identifying their needs and accessing the appropriate resources to address those needs.

“We are a strong military and Veteran community. We encourage those with artistic abilities to
show their support by designing a logo that represents our County’s proud tradition of support
for our nation’s veterans,” stated Queta Marquez, Bexar County Veterans Service Officer.

“Red McCombs Toyota is honored to support this event that fosters relationship building
through artistic creativity. Bridging the relationship with our Veteran and local community
encourages collaboration and unity. We are grateful to be part of this event,” stated Chuck
Bunch, Director of Military Relations & Business Development at Red McCombs Toyota, a
sponsor of the logo contest.

Entries must lend themselves to different media setups and should be in EPS, JPG, PNG, or PDF
formats. A panel of judges composed of local veterans and members of the business community
will judge the entries. All entries must be submitted no later than August 1, 2014. The winner
will receive a $500 debit card and a military inspired Spurs jersey, signed by 2014 NBA Finals
MVP Kawhi Leonard. The official logo will be unveiled during an award ceremony sponsored by
Red McCombs Toyota.
