Bexar County receives federal funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as an entitlement community. CDBG and HOME staff provides technical assistance, financial and program management services to grant recipients. CDBG and HOME staff is responsible for monitoring all project activities to ensure compliance with all HUD regulatory and policy requirements. Bexar County has received over $34,000,000 in funding since 1986. The money has been used to implement 500 projects, impacting approximately 260,000 low-moderate income individuals.
